The 7 Sacred Rules at AllStar

At CrossFit AllStar we commit to live the following:

  1. I promise to do my best. My best will vary from day to day, minute to minute. But in that minute I will do my absolute best.
  2. If I can run, I run. If I have to walk, I walk. When I am forced to crawl, I crawl. Then I rest and live to fight another day.
  3. I may struggle, curse and cry but I will never quit.
  4. I will never criticize or beat myself up for what I can't do today. I will just try again tomorrow.
  5. I promise to believe in myself, beginning each workout with the thought that "I can do this!"
  6. I show up to my workouts because I am committed to my health. My commitment to health is an act of self-love.
  7. I acknowledge that my diet is the most important part of my program. The cleaner it is, the better I do.

9/27/12 Skill Day Thursday: Max Vertical Height Jumping Push Up On To Box

-Written by KC

How High Can You PUSH UP?

Today's 'Thursday Skill Day' was to see if you could find your maximum height Vertical Jumping Push Up, without using the hips, just the pushing action of the chest and arms. (in the video above Josh pushes with the hips a little bit, but not much) The standard was to push up onto boxes or plates, then measure for height. Right: Monica T.

Ironically, the 'Question of the Day' today (which we have a different one each day at our adult circle time) was, "If you had to come up with a Superhero Name what would it be?" So the results board today is a little hard to understand unless you were actually in class.

Men's max: El Elvis (Josh) 36inches

Women's max: Lauren (she came in late and come up with a superhero name) 24inches.

Below: Don (Right) and Chris M. (left)

Results: The conditioning wod written on the board below was from last week and accidentally didn't get changed. The real work is shown above. We were testing a wod for the Round-Up Competition.
