Our CrossFit Kids performed the CrossFit Open workout 13.5 this week! It was a surprise to me that some of them already knew what the workout was going to be because their parents had either talked about it at home, or watched the live announcement of the wod. An example of families connecting through CrossFit! All the children scaled the loads of course, many of them using dumbbells, so inevitably most of them got to the extra 4 minute bonus round, but NONE of them wanted to take it! HAHA! They couldn't understand why, if you did a great job on the workout, would you be rewarded with more work. It was very different for them! See video below they are going for it!

Workout of the Day

CrossFit Games Open 13.5

Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 4 minutes of:
15 reps Thruster 100/65 (Kids scaled dumbell Thruster 5-15#)
15 Chest to bar Pull-ups (Or kids scale to jumping pull ups or chin over bar pull ups)

If 90 reps (3 rounds) are completed in under 4 minutes, time extends to 8 minutes. 
If 180 reps (6 rounds) are completed in under 8 minutes, time extends to 12 minutes.
If 270 reps (9 rounds) are completed in under 12 minutes, time extends to 16 minutes.
Etc.
