I wanted to give you all a heads up that we'll be welcoming a new friend & CrossFit Games competitor to Waimea, and to AllStar!!! Cheryl Brost is coming to town, and from my email correspondence with her, she's a bright spirit and ready to train! Be sure to give her a warm welcome when you meet her! You might not see her in regular classes but i'm sure you'll see her around the box. I'm very honored she's chosen to be part of the CFAS family.
Here's some info from her Biography which can be found at her webstie:
"Cheryl Brost is the wife and 42-year-old mother of two who takes on women half her age. Cheryl is most recently a three time World CrossFit Games Competitor who holds an illustrious academic and athletic resume. In her first year of CrossFit, Cheryl finished 13th at the 2010 Reebok CrossFit Games, in 2011 climbing the ranks to finish 7th overall, and finishing 15th overall at the 2012 Games. Already qualifying for the 2013 Masters Reebok CrossFit World Games, Cheryl ruptured her Achilles tendon while competing to take 1st place overall at the North West CrossFit Regional in the open division. Cheryl is the official spokeswoman of “AltrientTM“.

She has a remote coach, CJ Martin of Invictus who does her programming. Cheryl is currently recovering from an Achilles Rupture Repair and Bone Spur removal. She's hopeful to be finished with her PT and released from her doctor around 12-16 weeks post op. Cheryl says, "My goal is to return to Competition level." RIGHT ON!
Cheryl and her son Alex will be arriving on July 24th in time for her son to start football camp at HPA. YAY! They are looking to secure a long term rental. So if you know of anyone looking to rent a 3+ bedroom home, let me know and i'll forward it to Cheryl. Cheryl says they have an adorable Boxer that will also be joining them in early September."

Cheryl's mom's side of the family is Hawaiian. Her mom was born and raised on Oahu and grandma was born and raised in Kona. She's always wanted to experience living in Hawaii. They have businesses in Eugene, but will continue to operate them remotely. They are also part owners of a box in Oregon.
I am very excited about Cheryl coming in to town. Having an elite competitor involved at AllStar will undoubtedly take us ALL to the next level. Check out her website, and keep an ear open for a rental. Give her a nice AllStar welcome when you see her around the box, and lot's of support as she recovers from her injury and gets ready for the CrossFit Games 2014!!!
Mahalo! Love ya'll!
