Speaking of a CrossFit Games Athlete's Perspective, Cheryl Brost rises to the challenge
Cheryl Brost, CrossFit Games competitor, could have qualified for the 2013 CrossFit Games, however a bone spur was a contributing factor in the cause of an achilles rupture on a Box Jump at Regionals. Despite having just moved her family to Hawaii 2 days ago, and having a rehab support boot on, she came in to AllStar to WOD today, like everybody else (well, not everyone did ONE LEGGED DOUBLEUNDERS!). Sweet, supportive, and absolutely amazing in spirit, there's no doubt Cheryl Brost is on her way to making a strong come back in 2014. I look forward to witnessing the transformation in her as she regains mobility and gets ready for competition again. Way to go Cheryl, we're behind you all the way!
2 AllStar Athletes Honored to receive prestigious awards for 2013!
Kalani Ching (read as Lowell) Chopper 1 Pilot, and Mike Sohriakoff Fire Rescue Specialist will be honored at the end of August for Rescue effort of the year. They were both involved in a hard core rescue that the Sayre Foundation will recognize next month at the Mauna Lani Orchid! I'll be sure to remind you all with another post and email as it gets closer. We're so proud of you guys!!!!
