WOD for Kupuna - 2020 AllStar Round-Up 9

The AllStar Round-Up is our gym's annual competition event, most years hundreds of athletes and spectators come together to be their best and support one another.
This year. we have the pleasure, and honor of working with Michelle and Mahea's non-profit organization Peahi Education Group as the lead idea-makers and sponsors of this years event.
The 9th Annual AllStar Round-Up will be the 'WOD for Kupuna', a one day event with 4 different workouts all named and in honor of our first 4 Kupuna CrossFitters.
See below for details and links to register!

WOD for KUPUNA - what is it?

A day to honor our Kupuna CrossFitters, our connection to our own Kupuna, and raise funds for this special group who have had to stay away from the gym during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is also a time to come together, as a CrossFit Round-Up community, and although we will not host the traditional Round-Up this year due to COVID, this WOD for Kupuna will be just as meaningful, and memorable! All proceeds benefit Ho'onani Adult Care Home and Day Center, original partner in our Kupuna CrossFit program.

Why have a WOD for Kupuna?

  • Show support for the COVID outbreak @ Hilo at the Veterans Home
    • We as a Waimea Community can show support for our Kupuna
    • Spread Aloha & Hope
    • Kupuna are most isolated & alone now
    • We miss them at the gym!
    • Fitness helps everyone stay healthy!

    Details

There will be 4 WODs offered during the day on Saturday November 21, 2020. Each WOD is named, and was created in honor of our original 4 CrossFit Kupuna Athletes, Alfred Berdon, Betsy, Chiyo, and Kameichi! See below for WOD descriptions. WOD times will be

We have 13 spots available in the gym. Choose ONE WOD to attend please, to allow everyone to have a spot if needed. You may participate in a second WOD only if there's extra room that day, first come first serve. All attendees MUST register on Eventbrite. These WODS will be delivered more like a class, not a competition.

All social distancing and mask wearing guidelines apply. No crowds or gatherings of extra people allowed unless 6' apart outside. State guidelines allow for gatherings of no more than 10 people in public. Mahalo for doing your part to help keep this event as safe as possible during COVID.

Instead of Question of the Day, this time will be used to honor & say something about the CFAS Kupuna.

All CrossFit AllStar members, past and present, who do the WOD will be given a t-shirt
