what now?

CrossFit is sooooo intimidating. what’s the best way to get started?

We now have 2 entry points for starting at CrossFit AllStar: Group On-Ramp or Private Training. Both are critical ways to enter our program. It’s important to talk with a trainer first about the best way for you to enter our program.Progress, results, safety and fun are our top priority. We want to ensure complete beginners are well prepared prior to entering the regular CrossFit group class environment. Choose either GROUP ON-RAMP or PRIVATE ONE-ON-ONE intros. 

Group On-Ramp Program

The On-Ramp program is required for any new, beginning athletes who would like to train at CrossFit AllStar and want to learn in a group. This one-time investment in yourself gets you the best long term results. With nutrition compliance and consistent attendance in the On-Ramp, folks will see body composition changes in addition to improving their baseline workout times.  This positively reinforces the benefit and value of our CrossFit program. Group On-Ramp is best for:

  • People who are brand new to CrossFit, or you’ve been away and want a re-boot.

  • People who value learning the basic mechanics first, then building on that over time. 

  • People who are serious about getting serious about their health, and want to have fun doing it!

  • Those who value group accountability.

  • Highly recommended for any athletes who have already been CrossFitting, have never taken an On-Ramp or Private Intro, and want more knowledge to better your training. If you do not know the difference between a Squat Clean, a Power Clean, a Snatch, a Press, a Push Press, or a Deadlift then you should absolutely take the On-Ramp.

Do I need prior experience?

No! It’s for absolute beginners, or folks who want to expand their basic knowledge.

When does it start?

Our next Group On-Ramp starts June 13th and meets Tuesday & Friday 7:00am or 5:30pm. Each On-Ramp class is 1 hour. Can’t make the times? Consider a private intro! Read on below. After On-Ramp, you can choose from ANY of our class times which run all day long!

  • 6 On-Ramp beginner sessions spanning almost a month with nutrition as the foundation of the first class which will educate beginners and let them put their best foot forward upon entry.

  • Gymnastics (Pull Ups, Squats, Handstands & bodyweight movements)

  • Metabolic Conditioning (Running, Rowing and high intensity short duration workouts) 

  • Many skills that involve direct coaching and years of practice to acquire(rope climbing, jump rope skills, Medicine ball exercises).

Private Intro

1-on-1

Private Introductory Sessions are available for a one-on-one experience, or to expedite the learning process. We condense our beginner course into one time 1.5 hour session tailored just for you!

When is the session?

The session is scheduled around you and your trainers schedule so there’s tons of flexibility. Text or Call KC Stallsmith at 808-357-7851 to get scheduled!

Cost of the Private Intro:

The cost is $150 +tax, and you get 50% OFF each additional person in your group so bring a friend and you’ll all save! Complete your private intro session and receive a FREE week of unlimited classes so you can try them out! In the Month of June 2023 receive a FREE MONTH of classes after doing a Private Intro!

What you’ll get in a private Intro:

  • We will discuss your history, goals, and any pre-existing injuries or conditions

  • Learn the 4 Foundational Movements: Squat, Pull Up, Push Up, and Sit Up (and how to modify each one if needed)

  • CrossFit Nutrition basics

  • CrossFit methodology, philosophy & terminology (Sickness to Wellness Fitness Continuum, Theoretical Hierarchy to the Development of an Athlete, Hopper Model, 10 General Physical Skills… and more)

  • You’ll perform the ‘Baseline’ workout and get your ‘Baseline’ time
