I love CrossFit because it promotes functional fitness across all demographics, creating an uplifting community of like-minded individuals.

I found CrossFit at a very low point in my health and fitness, it has helped me to rediscover my confidence and inner athlete.

I became a coach because I love the CFA community and I wanted to help guide others to success in their fitness journey.

What I love about CrossFit is anyone can do it, all movements can be scaled and the community it creates.

CrossFit has completely changed my life and has been there for me as a mom, competitor and being able to maintain fitness in whatever season of life I am in. Making friends that have become my family and mentors, that would be the greatest impact it has had.

I became a coach because I was inspired by other coaches. It takes a lot of commitment and sacrifice to be a coach, but when I’m able to coach and help people do something they didn’t think possible or people thank me for coaching them, that’s the best feeling.

I'm a retired Hawaii County police sergeant, currently a Security Manager, and I’m also an ordained pastor at New Hope Waikoloa.

After retiring from a 25-year police career in 2015, I earned an AA in Basic and Biblical Studies and nearing my BA in Business Management. I hold certifications in Basic Life Support, CPR, AED, and First Responder first aid. I’ve attended the CrossFit L1 course, have completed the CrossFit Judges course, coached CrossFit since 2023.

I am most fond of the old school traditional Crossfit WODs—short and effective. My passion is helping others achieve their goals at their pace as I was allowed to do, to avoid injury, and to continue training and loving their growth and achievements.

Fun fact? My wife and family are everything. I am really not as serious as everyone thinks I am and when I get to know someone, can be a pretty “serious” prankster.
