It always amazes me how much I learn when I take a certification course, training, or intensive and this was no different. I was honored to be at the CrossFit Kettlebell Trainer Course with Jeff Martone held at Five Mountain Fitness right here in our very own Waimea town! It was nice to bike to class instead of flying somewhere!!! BIG thanks go out to Bill and Susan for making the event happen and for a SUPERSTAR paleo feast on Saturday night with food made by Joanie of F.I.T. Food Club. I'm feeling blessed to have learned so much and be able to share it with all my athletes back at AllStar. It was the best situation for me to be in a small class, close to home, and have Bill Case, a wonderful Kettlebell instructor in his own right, along with Jeff Martone, owner of Tactical Athlete Training Systems. Jeff Martone was one of the first certified senior kettlebell instructors in the United States. He is best known as the creator of “hand- 2-hand” kettlebell juggling, SHOT training, and the T.A.P.S. pull-up system. He is also the author of six training DVDs. He was the first to implement kettlebell training in a federal law enforcement agency and now offers instructor-level certifications. He has over 15 years of experience as a full-time defensive tactics, firearms, and special-response- team instructor.
Jeff Martone is a man of amazing strength and incredible shoulder stability. I found out that getting TGU'd is a LOT more fun than I thought. And I can officially say, i've been Martone'd!

Every Sunday is an opportunity to practice your Olympic Weightlifting technique for FREE coached by Arjun Clarry, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer! Any CrossFit AllStar member is welcome to come and tighten up their technique. This does not count as one of your program classes, this is an added bonus. Many times in a regular hour CrossFit class we simply do not have the time it takes to really focus on technique. That's why we offer the Sunday Oly Club! Every Sunday we FOCUS for 2 HOURS on technique, and then max lifts if you like. Take advantage!!!!
