5/29/13 CF Kawaihae gives new meaning to the phrase 'Hot Box!'

Finally took a visit to the newest CrossFit Box born on the Big Island...

Tammie Akau's CrossFit Kawaihae

Pulling up in my car to CrossFit Kawaihae I could hear the laughter of little kids inside the box and immidiately my heart grew bigger. The warm welcome (in aloha spirit as well as temperature) Tammie gave me was awesome and super appreciated. She delivered a great class filled with sincere people, fun warm ups, and positive vibes. I felt at home and was impressed at the quality to details found throughout this box! So many times and industrial gym can feel like just that, industrial, impersonal, and void of personality, but not CrossFit Kawaihae! It was bright, clean, sweet, and lime green! They have a safe kids area with gate, and lots of whiteboard to keep everyone on task, in check, and up to speed with goals and PRs. I went with the intention to give the place some of my sweat on the floor, but ended up leaving blood instead. Thanks Tammie for a rocking workout and warm welcome. It's nice to be neighbors. Looking forward to planning events, competitions, & get togethers to help keep our athletes at the top of their game!
