CFAS TOP 2 MASTERS ATHLETES AFTER WEEK 2

CFAS TOP MASTERS ATHLETE HIGHLIGHTS

After the second workout in the CrossFit Open, here are the rankings for two of our top masters athletes in their respective age divisions. You can find leaderboard statistics at www.games.crossfit.com and click on 'Leaderboard' then use the filters to search for an athletes by name, and age division. See screenshots below!

CONGRATULATIONS DON MAY (55-59 MEN DIVISION)

Don scored TOP 1% in his age group WORLDWIDE in WOD 21.1 (32nd place out of 3255 men) 

Don Scored 359th place out of 3255 in WOD 21.2

Don currently at 129th place out of 3255 men worldwide in his age division (55-59 Men)

Don is our longest standing member, he started trining with us in 2010 when we were renting space at HPA to teach CrossFit. He works full time for his landscaping company, and is a full time songwriter. He doesn't do any more training than what he does in class with our daily workouts. HE HAS TONS OF NINJA SKILLS AND TALENT! We are very stoked for Don! He is a great example of hard work, dedication, focus, and drive. He takes care of his body, often times doing the womens Rx in class to prevent injury as a masters athlete. He does the right thing and trains for longevity...and ranks at the TOP! GO DON! 

CONGRATULATIONS CHERYL BROST (50-54 WOMEN DIVISION)

Cheryl scored 5th WORLDWIDE in her age division in 21.1 out of 4593 women

Cheryl scored 2nd WORLDWIDE in her age division in 21.2 out of 4593 women

Cheryl currently at 2nd in the WORLD in her age division after week 2!

If her body cooroperates with her, looks like she will be moving on after the first 3 weeks! EXCITING THINGS HAPPENING! WE WILL KEEP YOU ALL POSTED AS WE KNOW MORE! 

Cheryl is no stranger to The CrossFit Games, for a brief history see her stats below. These are her history of rankings in the Open, at Regionals (this used to be how the CrossFit Games would separate out the top 20 athletes worldwide in the Open division, it was a live competition divided up by world area divisions), and in the CrossFit Games. You will not see her in 2020, as she was having shoulder surgery. Shes baaaaaack!!! :) See her history below:
