2/2/12 CrossFit Kids & Overhead Squats

These kids are amazing! They do their best each time they come into the gym and they are completely motivated to do functional movement. Check the motivation in the picture at Right the kids have to go to the top of the rope climb! Elements in this warm up obsticle course: Double Jump Burpee, Tire Flip, Rope Climb, Skin the Cat, Tarzan Bar Walk, Toes to Rings, and Squats.
Below: The CrossFit Kids log their workouts to, so they can see real progress and all the hard work they have done.
In the adult class we enjoy the Overhead Squat....
Layne on wall drills which encourage proper body position.
Workout of the Day
Warm Up:
Run 800m.
5 X 100m. Sprints (with isometric holds of 1 min. before sprint; bottom of squat, bottom of push up, handstand)
Leap Frog Races
Skill:
Overhead Squat form and drills on floor and at wall
WOD:
Overhead Squat
3-3-3-3-3 reps for max weight or
100 Reps at moderate weight for Quality focus on form
Met-Con:
AMRAP 15min.
25 Double Unders (x3 singles)
15 Burpee Boxjumps
10 Toes to Bar
