8/7/12 FIT AT 55!

Sandra is fit at 55!

Sandra celebrated her 55th Birthday with us today (even though her 'real' birthday was Aug.3). She got to pick the warm up movements and her favorites were Resisted Runs, Walking Lunges, and Air Squats...a beautiful combo.

You can see Sandra here in birthday socks performing her Deadlifts. I am reasonably certain she's got at least 155# on her bar, which is a huge improvement from when she first started training with us about a year ago. She made the commitment Sep. 3rd 2011, and has made great progress in the last year, even winning our Paleo Powered Holidays Nutrition Challenge! You can read about her progress & inches lost HERE.

Burpee Skill Transfer Pt. 5

Back to the BURPEE VIDEOS! Now that we've cleaned up the Burpee by forcing the feet together and blocking the bad movements, it's time to bring this back into a form that's more real to actual practice.  In this video Carl will show Adam that he can still execute the burpee with the feet apart while maintaining good form with cues like feet pointing forward, and heels down to maximize the use of the hips.
