4/8/14 Look who's advancing to Regionals!
Results from the CrossFit Open?
Hopefully you all feel great about just being part of it! I know I was very proud to see each and every name on our athlete list, REGARDLESS of if you completed all the workouts or not. Seeing your name on the Leaderboard means you're part of this global CrossFit community and that matters most because you ARE AMAZING and I hope you all know that!
As far as scores go....here's the breakdown!
We have 3 athletes advancing to Regionals! Masters athletes needed to place in the top 200 worldwide for their age division in order to advance. This is the next step of competition leading up to the CrossFit Games where only the top 20 male and female in each age division will advance!
Marta Alligood placed 96 worldwide in Masters Women 55-59, and Al placed 165 worldwide in Masters Men 45-49. Marta and Al will be performing another 4 workouts as part of their respective Master's divisions!
The workouts will be performed on site at CrossFit AllStar April 17-21! I WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED ABOUT WHEN THEY WILL PERFORM THESE WORKOUTS SO WE CAN BE PRESENT AND CHEER THEM ON!!!!
Cheryl Brost, having recovered from her Achilles surgery about 10 months ago, LEADS THE PACK IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND THE WORLD IN HER AGE DIVISION!
Cheryl sits at 4th worldwide in her age division Masters Women 40-44, she is 15th in Northern California if you include all ages Individual Women, and 133 worldwide for Individual Women (all ages). Cheryl has the opportunity to compete at Regionals in California as an Individual Woman, AND compete in the 4 additional in-house workouts as a Master's athlete in her age group like Marta and Al.
AGAIN I'LL LET YOU KNOW WHEN THE MASTERS WORKOUTS ARE GOING DOWN SO WE CAN ALL TRY TO BE PRESENT AND GIVE THEM OUR SUPPORT! CROSSFIT ALLSTAR MASTERS WORKOUTS APRIL 17-21. MAINLAND REGIONAL EVENT IN CALIFORNIA FOR CHERYL MAY 30- JUNE 1!

Speaking of effort and competition...our very own Coach Kelsey has been training for her own competition...but she'll be wearing a bikini!!!! That's RIGHT! Kelsey will be competing April 18 in Honolulu in the 8th Annual Stingray Classic Competition, a physique competition. Kelsey will be in the Bikini Division! We've got a group of AllStars headed over to witness Kelsey in all her gorgeousness! Here she is practicing being her beautiful self. I just LOVE this girl!!!
WHATEVER YOU DO...DO THE BEST YOU CAN DO...NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!
I love you all very much, and i'm extremely honored and proud to know, coach, and train with not only the competitors mentioned above, but ALL of you. I want to acknowledge that each and EVERY one of you makes CrossFit AllStar what it is, and I appreciate your hard work, effort, laughs, tears, and love that comes with that. BE BRIGHT!
